Gazelle ankles (transliterated from Arabic: كعب الغزال kaʕbu lɣazaːl, also known in French as cornes de gazelle, "gazelle horns") are a traditional cookie of North Africa.[1][2][3][4] They are crescent-shaped cookies made of flour-based dough filled with almond paste aromatized with orange blossom water. Gazelle ankles are relatively pricey due to the use of almonds as an ingredient, and are therefore served as a delicacy at special events such as weddings and baby showers, often with tea.

El kabalgazal o cuerno de gacela (en árabe, كعب الغزال ka'eb al-ġazal) es un dulce de la repostería de Marruecos (kaab el-ghzal).[1] Se preparan con una masa de almendras endulzada similar al mazapán, se aromatiza con agua de azahar y canela. Se embolsan en una masa de harina formando una empanadilla. La denominación «cuerno», se debe a la forma que tiene la masa antes de que sea horneada (o también de media luna). Es habitual que se sirvan con azúcar glace espolvoreado, o con semillas de sésamo (Sesamum indicum).
